Lead
is a heavy metal that was added to paint to increase durability
and performance until it was banned in the US in 1978. Lead
is toxic to humans and in high levels in the blood can damage
every organ system in the body. It is particularly dangerous
to children under the age of eight. The most common pathway
for ingestion is through lead dust from remodeling, painting,
or general breakdown of paint on friction surfaces such as
doors and windows.
AMI is State licensed lead paint remediation contractor.
Our employees are licensed to remove lead as well as receive
